Das Meerfelder Maar <\/strong>ist immer wieder Anziehungspunkt f\u00fcr Urlauber. Es liegt nah bei Meerfeld, einem kleinen Dorf. Der n\u00e4chste gro\u00dfe Ort ist Manderscheid<\/a>. Ich selbst war schon sehr oft hier und habe es auch jedesmal auf verschieden Ebenen umwandert. <\/p>\n

Von der H\u00f6he des Randes aus tun sich unwahrscheinliche Blicke auf \u00fcber den riesigen Krater. Der See an sich ist zwar noch sehr gro\u00df, war aber einst viel, viel gr\u00f6\u00dfer, der Wasserspiegel wurde 1877 um 2 m gesenkt. So ist heute im Krater auch noch reichlich Platz f\u00fcr Landwirtschaft, Naturschutzgebiet, Sportplatz und und zum Wandern<\/a>.<\/p>\n
